A 50-year-old man, Okon Michael, an indigene of Mbak Ekpe in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, has raped a two-year-old girl, saying he was under the influence of an evil spirit.



Michael while speaking to reporters at the Ikot Akpan Police Headquarters on Wednesday, where he was being paraded alongside other suspects, said he didn’t know what came over him.

The 50-year old stated that someone had come to his house to tell him that something serious was going to happen to him, but he did not take it seriously.
