New Ooni of Ife Returns From Forest With The Traditional Crown (Photos)

The New Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) is expected to complete the process and be crown as the Ooni of Ile Ife by the traditional chiefs on Monday after he returned on Sunday night from "ilofi", where he had been in seclusion.



The ceremony is expected to be performed by the traditional chiefs in the palace without any public attendance, while the receiving of staff-of-office from the state government is expected to happen on the 30th November.
The King was captured on camera emerging from the forest with the traditional crown called Aare, which is believed to be given to the Ooni by the gods as a symbol that he has fulfill all traditional rites.
