Arrested Petty Thief, Stripped And Forced To Walk Stark N*ked On The Streets Of Lagos (Photos)

Facebook user shared this on his timeline…according to him, the young man below was alleged to have stolen, but was caught by concerned citizens at Alapere area of Lagos today.



He was thoroughly beaten and thereafter stripped n*ked and forced to walk stark naked on the streets with his loot.

When I was very young this mode of treatment was the norm to deter other potential thieves. The first one I witnessed was a badly beaten lady thief stripped naked and bunches of cassette tapes (the stolen items) was hung on her neck while a huge crowd followed her around in the neighbourhood.
