See What Happened To 40 Year Old Man Who Raped 5 Year Old Girl

For allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge of a 5-year-old girl, a 40-year-old man identified as Yemi Afolabi was on Thursday remanded in Agodi Prisons by an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, Oyo State.


 
Police prosecutor, Cpl. Isiaka Laaro told the court that the accused committed the crime at about 12.30 p.m on April 24 at Ejioku Olode in Igbo Elerin area of the state. The offense, the prosecutor, said contravened Section 218 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Oyo State 2000.

According to Laaro, the case file had been duplicated and forwarded to the State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) as directed by the court for advice.

Mrs M.A. Akanni, the Chief Magistrate, in her ruling, ordered that the 40-year-old be remanded in Agodi Prison pending DPP’s advice. The case was adjourned till Nov.15 for mention.
