
President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Lamorde.
Lamorde was sacked today, November 9, 2015, according to a source in the Presidency who spoke to Channels Television.
According to Sahara Reporters, Ibrahim Magu, a former member of the Economic and Governance Unit of the EFCC, has been chosen to replace the sacked Chairman.
The EFCC Chairman has however been facing a probe by the Senate following allegations that he laundered N1 trillion in funds which were recovered from corrupt persons by the agency.
